Default Motor mount DIY

Is there more to doing the motor mounts than jacking upthe oil pan and doing the 4 bolts on the mounts? If so, could someone please tell me or send a link to a Diy. Thanks

Default RE: Motor mount DIY

This is how I did it

1. I put it up on 4 jack stands
2.Remove the 1big nut that bolts mount to K member oneach side
3. Raise engine w/ jack(place block of wood on jack)
4. Remove the2 bolts on each side that bolt mount to engine block
Installation reverse of removal

Also, I had to remove my CAI intake and I loosened the 4-5 bolts that hold fan blade, so i could slip it out of shroud to raise engine higher.

You may also have to loosen the trans mount to but you shouldn't have to. Just keep an eye on it to so you don't screw it up while jacking up the engine.

If the trans is out then you might not be able to just jack up your motor.......... You may be able to get one side at a time but usually the rest of the drive line is in place to keep the motor from falling back.
