Default radiator ground strap

why did my new aluminum radiator come with a small ground wire? i've never had a new radiator come with one but have read some places about the coolant having corrosion problems because of the electricity. my grounds are all clean (recent past cleaned them all up) should i put this thing on somewhere?

Hell, why not? I have never heard of it but the electricity and corrosion makes sense. Your radiator has no metal contact (well it shouldn't) because of the rubber in the supports. So having clean grounds won't have any effect. Put it on somewhere on the bottom so it can't be seen.

my griffon rad came with a warning saying to not ground the radiator due to electroloysis corroding the inside of the rad. although if the coolant is conductive, it will be grounded anyways through the coolant.

i didnt put it on. i figure it's all grounded through the block. i think it's there to compensate for bad grounds. i love my new radiator! normally when i open the hood after it's been running i get hit with a rush of hot air. i put this aluminum radiator in, ran it, when i opened the hood it seemed to be much cooler. so psyched!
