180 mph speedo

PUD, no, in short. Not without extensively reprogramming the computer.
PRO50, what do you mean Mustangs can't hit 180? I've buried my 150 speedo (lots of straight empty road, before you jump on me about it), and the car was still pulling when I got out of it... and that was relatively close to stock (UDPs, o/r H, catback, TB spacer) on a 2004 GT 5M.

and who's driving what again? If you really want to get down to brass tacks, everything from the 1979 Pace Car (what a horrid color scheme) to the 04 Terminator Cobras were built on the same platform... just different iterations. Thus the hoopla when the 05 came out about the 'first completely new chassis in 25 years' or some drama like that.

what does the computer have to do with it? it's a mechanical speedo. i hear ya about basically it ain't gonna work no way no how, and no arguments from me, but just curious to where the comp comes into play

it doesnt its a direct swap, just make sure its calibrated properly after you put it in and put some lube on the cable before plugging it in, I didnt and now I have an annoying wobble in my needle under 30mph

I have that wobble, too. I had the cable replaced like 5 years ago, and it didn't solve the problem. Someone told me that I have to replace the speedo, but I've had the speedo out of the car, and it looks fine and spins silky smooth. Do you think I just have to pull the cable and lube it at both ends?
