Around here, they want $1500+ for that set up. I can buy an Explorer engine for $300, a T5 for about the same, and a nice PP, clutch and flywheel setup for $350. It's more cost effective to do it piecemeal.

Ha! We're all growing up....

Seriously though, you and I have both paid our dues trying to make RX7's fast on a somewhat reasonable budget. Not possible.

Wish I could go back ans slap all the people on the klub that told me "Oh, once you buy this thousand dollar exhaust, and spend four thousand dollars getting your motor rebuilt and ported your car will be sooo fast!" in the face.

Glad to have your company on the dark side.......

Yeah, we've definitely paid our dues... With money, time, and sanity.

No kidding, that's the example I use why it's so much smarter to go with a V8. The difference in parts support is amazing. One header from Racing Beat is $250, you can get a pair of Mustang headers for $100. Gee, let me pay 2.5x more for every thing I need to go fast, then make sure I pay $$$ to get it tuned right so it doesn't grenade. The full turbo-back from RB is $900 now. Or hey, how about I pay $3000+ to swap in a T2 engine so I can have 180 h.p.? Nah, I think I'll swap in a V8 for 2/3 of that, thanks!

I was blind, but now I see!
