Default Will this fit?

My husband is thinking of buying a set of 1969 302 Boss heads off ebay and he wants to put them on his 1988 5L GT. We don't have then engine block so we can't compare. Is he wasting his money on the heads or can this work?

THanks guys!!!!

There are allot things that will need to be done to use these heads and it will be expensive. The heads should be torn down and inspected, hardened valve seats installed, different rockers, different springs (at a minimum), different intake, different headers, possible PTV issues. Unless he's looking to spend allot of money and time, he may want to stay away from them.

he won't be using those heads with efi, as finding an intake would be difficult......better to start with a windsor style head.

Waste of money unless you are building a Boss Clone. Custom headers, custom intake and you can buy a better performing set of windsor heads now than those Boss heads. Boss mustangs even with fairly high compression were balky street cars to drive due to heads and cam built for high rpm. A st of AFR or Trick Flows matched to his engine would be a better choice. That swap will become a very painful one although it would really look trick
