set timing, need help

Is it the edge of the long pointer sticking out?
you will probably need to sand down the surface of the balancer to see the marks, and yes, you use the upper leading edge.

this picture shows the pointer at 0°

the black marking under it is ATDC, and the blue lines indicate 10° btdc increments

I set the timing @ ten BTDC, It was at 5 ATDC Now the car does'nt crap at 3500 any more
