Question Turbo on my 86 mustang

I have an 86 speed density 5.0 and i would like tp know if i am going to have any problems when i put it on .My current mods are an edelbrock intake manifold ,gt-40 heads ,mac headers ,255 fuel pump 75 mm t/b and spacer .i would like to know if anybody has a turbo on a speed density car .thanks for looking

id suggest just doin the maf swap, isnt that much or that hard.

+1 to the swap. much easier for the tuner. and when you get an MAF get one thats designed for forced induction. also you'll need 42# injectors

what kinda of turbo are you doing? you buying a kit or DIY?

you could do a turbo on speed. but your never going to find the gains that you will with maf. for a couple hundred bucks its the best thing your ever going to do. its like, does a plumber not bring his monkey wrench when changing a pipe......

the problem you'll run into is with realatively a low amount of boost, you'll max out the duty cycle on the 19 lbs inj, you have two options, 1 maf conversion and get the proper maf for a boosted application and whatever injectors you'll need for the amount of boost planned or purchase a stand alone tuner for speed density so you can change the injectors

Default my turbo

i am running a single T-3 turbo that can support up to 700 hp so i am hoping i can get atleast 350 horses. thanks for your replys guys.
