Question On Pulling Codes
I tried my first attempt at pulling codes from my 89 LX. KOEO I got a code of 22. I looked up the code and it is a MAP sensor out of range. ??? With the KOER it seems that I get a code of 41, the car is running lean? I have been having an issue with the car's RPM fluctuating every once in awhile and dying when at an idle. It has an AOD trans. I you drive the car for at least 15 or 20 minutes the CEL comes on. After pulling the codes today I remembered that I disconnected the battery while doing some work on the car yesterday. Did I erase the codes when I did this? Do I need to drive the car around and wait for the CEL to come on again and then pull codes? Please help. Thanks.

Well Crap! All that work for nothing. Well, at least now I know how to do it, but now I won't have the car for at least 2 weeks. It is going in tomorrow for lowering springs and alignment and then it is off to the paint booth.

you should go to an auto tech school and when they r throwing out their old stuff they will GIVE you a EEC breakout box for pulling codes. haha havent had to use it but it is the best investment i never had to pay for
