car dies when warm.

car dies when warm.
When my car is warmed up and i shut it off when i start it again it starts for a second then dies and if i restart it right away it will start and idle fine. I have no idea what this could possibly be.
The idle is also surges sometimes when warm too but not always there is no pattern to it sometimes its fine sometimes not. Also it rarely ever idles below 900rpms but when it does the car is quite shaky. The lower the idle the rougher it idles. Anyone have any ideas on this?
