Default a/c and smog elimination

I'm trying to eliminate the smog pump and a/c compressor out of my engine bay and find a way to run the serp. belt to the alt., the power steering, crank, and water pump. Is there any way to just get a smaller belt and run it, or do I have to get the bypass pulleys. I found them on summit for like 70-80 bucks apiece, but I really don't feel like spending that much on two useless pulleys. I've also been checking on ebay, but again I think 30 bucks each is a little expensive. I've heard I can go with just the a/c bypass, and just use a smaller belt to eliminate the smog pump all together and run the belt right from the crank to the alt., is that true?

Buying new pulleys is a complete waste of money. Buying an A/C delete kit, on the other hand, is not. The delete kit for the A/C is two brackets that relocate the powersteering pump to where the a/c compressor is. That is where the power steering comes on factory non a/c cars. I'll take a picture of mine... but just switch the way the belt is run on the water pump/crank and then run the rest as normal.
