Need help about to purchase first stang!
First off new to forum and hope to be here for a long time time! I am about to trade for this mustang its has ENGINEbalanced crankshaft and turned .010 cylinder bored .030 (makes it a 306) trw domed pistons svo twisted wedge aluminum heads crane cams 1.6 roller rockers bullit push rods crane lifters ford racing f series cam (sounds great) ported upper intake plenium 65mm bbk throttle body and spacer 4.6 mass air k&n filter bbk shorty headers bbk x pipe flowmaster american thunder mufflers into turndowns TRANS b&m shift kit tci 2800 street fighter stall converter all new fluids REAREND 8.8 ford ford racing 3.73 gears new posi unit clutches SUSPENSION has bbk lowering kit with new shocks but thier is one problem the guys says that the car wont come out of first because the linkage cable needs adjusted at first he told me that it shift fine buty wouldnt go into park I dont get that and now two days later says that the bolt was loose on the linkage and came more lose and it wont shift out of first is this possible ? PLease help I really want to get in to mustangs and this seems like a nice one body is really good and already has parts any help will be greatly appreciated!

if it's such a simple fix tell him to fix it and put the bolt back in........if he won't ..sounds like another toolbag trying to cover up a major repair, btstdt!!!......think about it, if it were so simple they would fix it and not be trying to sell it as is...move on or expect a major repair

i agree with mjr i wouldnt trust it if the guy keeps changing his mind and telling you this and that i would reconsider and if it was an easy fix he should have fixed it there is obviously a reason why he wont and sounds like to me there is a bigger problem it may be nice and have good parts in it and have a car with potential but invest your money in something that will require less hassle unless you feel like dropping a good chunk of money into it and who knows it may be a simple fix and the dude is just to lazy but just give it a little thought before you do. hope that helps. good luck

that trans is shot, i guarantee it
walk away from it unless he's gonn knock $3k off for your trouble
a good aod rebuild is going to cost you an easy $2000 +
the converter is too small too and most likely needs to be replaced from the bad trans because they get contaminated from the bad fluid thats full of particles
