mustang wont start?

RE: mustang wont start?
Little more detail. When you turn the key to start, does it click? If it clicks, does all of the electrical stuff go dead (ie. lights dim, etc.)? If they are dimming, it indicates that the solenoid is working and either the battery is too weak (but you said it wouldn't jump either), or the starter is bad (you said you put in a new starter, sometimes they can be bad too but not usually), or the power is going somewhere it shouldn't (have you checked all the cables for breaks and make sure that the casing is good and a cable is not shorting to something especially near the exhaust), or the engine could be locked up. Have you tried putting a socket and pull handle on the crank to make sure the engine will turn?

try to put a new batt on it. just because it has 12 volts it might not have enough amps to back that 12 volts. the same thing happened to mine and i had to change out the battery and the alt.

To see if it's a bad ground, use some jumper cables and put one end on the neg. post of battery and the other end to the exhust manifold or a good ground. If it fires up clean the ground cable where it attaches to the block. Had this trouble once and it cost me to have it towed to the house.
Good luck
