Default TREMEC 3550 SWAP

I am swapping a 3550 into my 90 fox and I have read two driffrent things.
do I or do I not have to shoten the drive shaft ? I alredy have the trans,bell housing and yoke and crosmember modifyed

I have a tremec 3550 in mine...didnt have to modify anything. might as well throw in an aluminum driveshaft while your at it!
