Default Car jerks at cruise

I have a 94 GT with an automatic. When the engine gets to operating temperature and the engine speed is around 1.5 k, the car will suddenly pull, resume cruise, and pull repeatedly. I have replaced the o2 sensors in response to codes thrown when I first purchased the car March 2011. I have replaced the tps. I have replaced the fuel filter (it needed it badly) I had pulled the egr valve and tried to clean it out with some small improvement. I then replaced the egr valve and checked its' position sensor. I have replaced the distributor due to failed bearings. This problem occurred prior to, and after its' replacement. The only code given in the latest test was the brake sense. I replaced the brake switch and that cleared.I took it out today and coupled a vacuum gauge in the egr vacuum line and then on the intake. There were no vacuum fluctuations that could correspond to the jerking of the car. I have also checked the car with the overdrive on and off. Any Ideas? TIA.

Check the ignition coil.. but it sounds more like you may not be getting enough fuel, so.. change the fuel filter and replace the fuel pump if possible.
Good Luck.

I was expecting some story about some butthead at a get together lol. If you already replaced the fuel filter, have the fuel pressure tested if possible. I not sure on the old 5.0 if you can or not. If the pressure reads normal I would be thinking maybe injectors.

It wouldnt hurt to run a can of Seafoam through it to see if that clears anything up on the fuel side since you said the filter needed it badly

I read cruise & fluctuations, I think vacuum line to the cruise control assembly. Unless you're not speaking about cruise control.

Adjust the slack out of the cruise control cable.

No, the cruise control is not the problem. This occurs after acceleration to speed, at around 1.5k engine speed. It will suddenly retard to around 1.25k and repeatedly do so.

I am having similar surging issues when at low rpms or when I am barely on the gas.
