I think you have a pretty sweet ride as-is! Drive it for a bit, have fun and once you get familiar with the car you'll have a much clearer idea of what you'd like to do... be it exterior/interior resto, upgrading engine etc.

One thing that sort of stands out to me is your clutch. Does the car have a stock t5 still? If so, that's a lot of clutch for not much tranny.

From the mods you describe, I'd say to just let it eat for awhile.........

No worries, I just wanted to clear things up for the OP, no harm. You did make some good points about the cylinder heads though. It's crazy how the Explorer GT40 heads flowed better than the factory Cobras!
