wont start
I have an 85 gt and My car will not start. I have fuel and fire. I noticed that the distributor would turn freely left and right but the bolt that holds it in place seems to be tight the car is carburated now. I dont know if it jumped time or what. Where do I start?

Checking timing is a start, turn the distributor while trying to start it and see what happens. It should at least make a pop regardless, if it doesn't you are missing fuel or fire.
Also for future referance, which induction/fuel system do you have? 85 came with TBI or 4bbl

4 bbl is short for 4 barrel carb. The first issue you need to get taken care of is the issue of the distributer turning freely . If its not staying put when you try to start the car it could be a problem, depending on how freely it turns. check and make sure the hold down tab is turned the righ direction and is not upside down.
Give this a read on how to get the dizzy in the correct location and make sure its not inserted way off .

Also make sure the plug wires are in the correct location for the 5.0 HO engine as they are different on a HO than a standard 302.
