Hey all,

Ok so got my head unit installed, got power going to it, all was great until I powered it on to hear the sound quality.

Only the passenger side speakers are playing anything, along with the rear deck. The driver side door has no sound coming from it. I went to turn the car on and heard a loud BOOM popping sound coming from the speakers. Now the upper tweeter makes a high pitched whining noise that increases pitch as the engine climbs rpm. Really weird. It's like I'm driving next to a crotch rocket that shifts when I do.

Any ideas this time???

Defective speakers? Maybe wiring..veryuseful.com has diagrams in color. Blew up speakers for my drivers door and it sounded nasty.

Blown speakers is what I'm leaning towards. I didnt touch the speaker wires so I know the wirings not screwed up lol

Could be messed up wiring, or 2 wires touching eachother that shouldnt be. Or bad speaker. If the speaker comes on and off and makes a horrible noise its most likely broke. happened to me 1 time. id try and get a new speaker and see what happens. maybe from a junkyard? so if its not the speaker and something happens you dont damage a new expensive one. Yeah its weird. The whole system pops really loud if youre listenin to it and then turn the car on. Like it sounds like a small explosion inside the car. Lol scared the hell out of me the first time it happened. No sound other than the annoying buzzing noise comes out of that door
