89 GT won't start all the time!

89 GT won't start all the time!
I have an 89gt with a 93 cobra motor. Only mods I can see is a msd ignition coil, headers, off road xpipe and dumped flows.
The third plug on the harness that goes to the mass air and ecm is unplugged. guess it has to do something with the o2 sensors ( if it even has any). when it decides not to start I have to plug it back up, hope it starts and have someone unplug it or it will go dead if I let off the clutch. I'm completely stumped. thanks for any help or ideas
