I got a 90 stang non v/8 car I picked up, and want to convert it to a 5.0
I also bought a 1990 town car with a 5.0 cheap, and was wondering if the motor is a direct swap into the stang, or what different parts I will need when putting the town car motor in?

I'm no mustang guru, but I think the 302 in the town car is just a base 5.0, not the 5.0 HO found in mustangs. They're only 180 hp or so. Id wait till you find HO before you do the swap.

The engine block itself is the same, the cam is different. Same crank. Diff ECM, diff injectors, etc.

I'd go with a direct replacement engine and save headaches. 5.0 HO engines are a dime a dozen. You can get a rebuilt one on the cheap. I assume you picked up a notch?

Your Lincoln block sounds like a nice candidate for a power build after you get an HO for your car.
