Basically just remove the air intake tube, throttle cable bracket from the EGR spacer, pop the linkage off of the throttlebody ball (and TV cable if it is an automatic trans), remove the two coolant lines from the EGR spacer, unhook the vacuum lines from under the intake to the PCV valve and vacuum tree on the firewall. Then remove the 5.0 plaque from the top of the intake to get to the two center bolts, and remove the two bolts from the center and two on each end of the uooer intake. Then it should lift up off of the engine.
You will need to depressurize the fuel system by using a small tool to push in the center pin on the Schrader valve located in the metal fuel line behind the alternator area. You will then need to remove the two 8mm bolts holding the passenger side fuel rail down. Then, gently raise the fuel rail while making sure that the injectors stay in the rail and come out of the intake (this will help keep fuel from running all over the lower intake). When it is high enough that you can get your allen wrench under the regulator, remove the 3 bolts that hold it to the fuel rail and gently wiggle it out of the fuel rail.
After making sure that the old gasket and o-ring are removed from the fuel rail, reverse the steps to install the new one and reinstall the upper intake. I would use a new gasket between the upper and lower intakes.
If it is an auto trans, make sure that the TV cable is properly reconnected or you will fry the trans in a very short time!!
