hey guys i just had a question. i found a 79 mustang in good condition for cheap. i was wondering if i switched the fenders could i swap out the bumper for a 87 bumper or later ? i dont mind having the 79 look but i like the flush head lights better.

You shouldn't have to swap the fenders out, just the front bumper cover and headlights.

A lot of pple don't under stand that even though the stock look of the 4 eyed is sorta granny looking , with the right stance , rims and tires they can look pretty damn hot.

you are also gone to need to do some wiring in the front as the light harness is different. the grill on the cowl is different and it dont line up with the 87-93 hood easy fix just swap out. the bumper reinforcement is also different. the bumper extensions on the front of the fenders you are gone to need from the 87 up. the core support is also different but will work without issues.
