hey ohsoquik02 did you read this part??? "oh and we are up in colorado 5000+ ft above sea level" thats why there times are higher, yeah down at sea level they would run the times you said<edited><editID>mustang30240</editID><editDate>38014.6724074074</editDate></edited>

Elevation is MURDER on normally aspirated engines.

combine elevation with a bad tank of gas and my truck barely ran up there. I had to use 4-low to get out of the parking lot with the trailer. yikes.

Personally at altitude if you had to go with either h/i/c OR forced induction, I'd go for the forced air first. Even with h/i/c a normally aspirated engine is going to be gasping for air, but compress the air and you don't notice the altitude hardly at all.

Maybe get aftermarket heads cam intake.I used to race this ram air firechichicken on the way home from work occasionally when wed line up at a red light and beat him with just that plus full exhaust 3.55's and t-5 on a 302.That is untill he got tired of it and got some nitrous.
