Winter Storage

Default Winter Storage

Going to put dryer sheets in car, disconect battery, put car on carpet squares and stabil in gas. What else do you guys do. Car will be in a clean heated gargae.

I wouldn't even worry about the dryer sheets if it's in a heated garage and as far as stabil goes, it'd be wise to start the car and drive it once a month

2 winters ago I stored my car with stabil and the gas was fine after the winter. I didn't start it at all throughout the winter. I'm doing the same this year except I'll prolly start it a few times just because I miss hearing it lol. I did the same thing, bought drier sheets and put them all over, stabil'd it, removed the battery, changed the oil, and thats it. I also washed and wax'd it before i put the cover on it.

I'm guessing if there is no chance of water getting underneath the carpet wouldn't be necessary? I was pathetic this summer. The car only saw 4 days of pavement all summer. I just never got around to swapping out the O/R midpipe back to OEM for emissions so just got temp tags for a couple weekends. Some muffler shops here won't touch anything to do with O/R systems, they just shoo you out the door. Is that the case where you guys are at?

youve pretty much got everything needs done..i also have to store mine for the winter as living in illinois we get quite a bit of snow..it will be goin away the 1st of november as the insurance runs out the next day..it sucks to know they are just sittin there..least i got a new toy to drive over the winter this year
