Default What's up with my AOD

When I first bought the car and took it to the track I realized that the car shifted out of 2nd gear way to soon. It shifts into third right around 3500 rpm's and with the new turbo kit I'm just getting into boost when it shifts into 3rd, making the car fall on it's face. I haven't taken it to the track with the turbo kit yet but I know when I do 2nd gear is really gonna screw me up. Now I know the AOD's are garbage in stock form, which mine is completely stock, but is this normal or is there a problem? The tranny runs good with no other issues so I'm wondering if this is just how it is. When I was at the track before the turbo I was still able to run 14.0@98 mph which I was happy with because it was completly stock and weighed in at 3200 lbs but now I feel it's really gonna hurt me so do I need to have it looked at or is this just how it is? Thanks for all the help in advance.

thats how they work.

you can fix it by doing the 1-d-1 shuffle, but you'll smoke the trans by doing it. some clutches will engage when they shouldnt because the trans thinks it's in first when it's really in 2nd

other than that you need a manual valve body to have the ability to shift it good, and lentech does one that locks out od so you can use the stock shifter like 1-2-3 then electronically shift to od
