Default well im an idiot!

This is my second 347 now ( rip the first one with craked stock block). Well my car runs strong and seems fast to me. The last time i raced it was on the street and i wasted a new pontiac gto with the vet engine in it. Anyway it has always ran like it does now and im in the process of having a chip burned this week but i always thought it was a tad slow to rev ( revved quicker than my 306) and maybe a little less than what it should be for power. Well my buddy hooked it up to his laptop last night and the tps was bad and he suspected the 02 sensors were not working. I said NO the 02 sensors are fine but i put new ones on anyway. Well turns out both sensor elements were snapped in half inside. I havnt had 02's or a tps for a long time. This is a completley different car. It now hits the rev limit twice as fast And ill definatly need some bigger tires now! I just cant believe it ran like it did. Anyone else ever have this happen?

not me, don't run o/2's on mine o/2's being bad shouldn't really affect WOT drive, since the car goes into open loop operation strategy under full throttle, now they would however improve overall drivability and fuel economy by replacing if they were bad

that thing is probably slower than hell with stock heads on it, 1 5/8 headers and a 180* long runner intake.

and beating a new GTO with those things listed above & it not running properly....i dont believe it but i wasnt there so i'll take your word for it.

LMAO! that is exactly what i want to hear. because on the street the next thing i always hear is, "wtf! that cant have stock heads how did you beat me so bad!?" And i just laugh and say ya its a 302 with a cam and exhaust.

And i also can spray it if i have to.Ill have better heads some day but for now im havin a blast with these ones.

whatever, just saying your car doesnt have the gusto to run with a new GTO, so he probably wasnt racing. again, wasnt there, not arguing...i believe you.

but plz do yourself a favor, dont waste your money on any other stock style type head. get the biggest TW style head you can afford. minimum a 190FAC and ditch the long runner intake asap, carb style single plane set up for EFI. but the next most beneficial upgrade you could do that is relatively cheap is some 1 3/4 LT's to a 3" collector and run 3" dumped with flow through style mufflers. would really help your revs.

All will come in time. Just had a new baby so money is short lately. Also im up to about 10 grand in painting it so far so things like exhaust and heads have to wait till next year. its coming though.
