Ok Guys first off I have a 92 lx with a 302 HO..she is all stock and I am getting ready to tear the top end down and do alot of upgrades...so here we go..I have a edlebrock intake setup going on with 70mm everything...While I replacing bad gaskets I will be at the cam and I know a guy that has a x303 cam for like 80.00...(new)...I am aware of PTV clearance fitment issues being about .002...Also needing to upgrade valve spring to compensate for added lift...Im not really interested in a b,e,f cam at this point..I am wanting to know if anyone has done a swap on a stock engine and had any underlying issues...
And for us purests I am aware of the fact the stock heads aren't going to flow enough and there wont be much of a pwer gain on this setup...I am thinking in the terms of later for head upgrades and what not....not having to tear the engine all back down again...Not that I am lazy by any means being a mechanic for a living has its ups and downs last thing I wanna do is go back over what I just fixed...
