Intake popping/idle irratic

Intake popping/idle irratic

when I start the car and give it gas, i hear a poping noise from the intake. If i let it idle, idle is irratic for a few seconds then dies.
What could be the problem?????

Could be a bent pushrod , bent valve , lobe worn down on the cam, broken rocker arm, just to name a few , that should get you started looking! let us know what you find out! Good luck!!
