If you want gas mileage, you need to build a stock of motor as possible then use a power adder.

+1 on this. Unless you can afford to DD a 408 that is getting single digit MPG then building up a stock motor then doing some sort of SC or turbo on it.

single digit mpg are u a tard? I have a friend with a 90 coupe 408 efi runs low 6s and gets 18 mpg regularly. Gas mileage isnt only cuin. You my friend have alot to learn. Op depends on what u can afford.
