Default 4literranger Goes to a 5 Liter Mustang!!

I'm gonna use this thread to document my mods, results, and lessons learned throughout my fox body build. I recently acquired a 1990 GT with 178k miles on the clock. After digging in and doing some minor repairs I've finally put in my first order to summit racing and american muscle!

Here she is the day I brought her home:

First things accomplished:

WASHED (lol)
Synthetic oil/filter change
fuel filter
air filter
Repair broken driver seat (frame was cracked, welded and braced to fix)
Speedometer cable install to fix wonky speedo readings

Now onto some real mods, I'll list what I've ordered/acquired and ask a couple questions at the end!

Summit Racing:
performance cap/rotor/wire kit
performance coil
BBK fender mount CAI
ceramic coated shorty headers
summit H-pipe (already have flowmaster cat-back)
75mm egr/throttle body spacer
valve cover gaskets (old ones leak)
upper to lower intake gasket (going to remove and port upper for 75mm t/b)

American muscle:
Short shifter

Corral.net:
75mm MAS calibrated for 30lb injectors
set of 30lb injectors

Local craigslist:

75mm trick flow throttle body
weld-in subframe connectors

I should have a long 4-day weekend coming up to do a lot of work. My main question is if the MAS and 30lb injectors are going to be too much fuel. Should i just hold onto them until i get an H/C/I setup? And look for a MAS calibrated for my 19lb injectors. Or use 24lb injectors/MAS with the mods I've purchased so far?

Thanks in advance for your help along the way, and hopefully I can document and show everyone my way to someday having a fast fox!

get some gt40 heads, cam and intake. then 24lb injectors won't be a problem

Car looks great... Gotta love a nice White 5.0! Where are you stationed in Cali? I am stationed in Misawa away from both my rides I have forgotten what Torque feels like.

Hold off on the 30#ers for now, when you do the H/C/I you should toss them in.

thanks for the tip. i was beginning to think the same thing. You think 24's will be good for now? I looked and if i buy a used setup i won't lose much money when i switch over to 30's in the future.

there is no need for you to go beyond the stock 19# injectors, until you swap your h/c/i
