Seriousness of a 5.0 being in the '11
#21
I only ask because so many ppl are talking about the return of the 302 and Boss 302. Wouldn't make much sense if the motor isn't actually a 302 ci motor. But of course, we don't know what the exact cubic measure on the Coyote is......so, yea.........just more speculation for the forum talkers.

[QUOTE=Ray's 08 GT;6233272]screw the 5.0...... I want the 6.2l 2v!!!!!!!!![/QUOW
Wouldn't you want the same power minus the weight? The new 5.0 would make sense. Ford usually doesn't use an engine unless it can be fitted in multiple applications. The 03'-04' Machs shared their engine with the Maruader and Aviatior. So where does the 2010 6.2L Raptor engine come into play? What other vehicle is that gonna be in?

61.024 is the conversion factor.
In order to have TRUE 5.0L engine, it must be 303 - 305 cubic inches to round up to 5.0L

Actually, the old Fox body 5.0L Mustangs were actually 4.9488725 liters if you do the math. And of course that rounds DOWN to 4.9L, not up to 5.0L
