The boss intake will surely help your top end. Are stock manifold is inefficient past 6500rpm. The boss manifold holds power to about 7300-7400 rpm with peak horsepower being anywhere from 8-15 rwhp higher. I was going to jump on the kit American muscle has that has intake, boss manifold and tune but I have a 2013 so I wanna wait until they completely deal with the water leaking through the hood vents

boss intake is a big difference on the top end. 50whp frequently seen@7300rpm and you can rev it to 7500rpm no problem.

a bolt-on boss = a bolt-on GT in power and 1/4 mile times, there really isn't any difference in power output between the 2 engines once you get the manifold on there. There are parts differences and maybe on a road course you'd see a difference with the cooling. The boss is just more of a collectors item. Although, they also can hold more horsepower with forced induction. people are hitting 9s and in the 650-700whp range in the GT, plenty for me. I saw 840whp on the boss with a KB mammoth, I'm not sure if it will hold that kind of power but it survived a dyno run atleast. A built engine is less than the cost difference between the Boss and GT though, so it depends on your goals. I dont want more than about 650whp anyway.

Adding to what he said, 3.73 gears are a good option for the boss intake mod because you do tend to lose some low end torque
