intercooler options for 2.3t
$150 isn't bad at all. I paid $130 for mine some time ago but I've seen them go for $200+. I'd jump on it. Fabrication to install this is minimal.

well i will check my turbo tomorrow when it is day and see the size also thanks guys for being so helpful if this is how everyone is on here then i think i am going to like being on this forum some of the other forums ive been on are full of a bunch of people that think they are better than you and are not willing to even talk to you if you dont have the same level of knowledge as them. anyways thanks again
The Volvo unit will work but it has plastic end tanks that tend to blow off under moderate boost. It also has quite a bit of pressure drop and small inlets/outlets. Guys have used the smaller Mitsubishi Starion I/C's, '87-'88 TC I/C's mounted in front and some of the cheap I/C's off Ebay. My research has led me to the large Isuzu NPR I/C. It's the best bang for the buck without going into an aftermarket I/C, such as Spearco. The NPR is all metal, has very little pressure drop and 2-3/4" inlets/outlets.
Fits like a glove in my '89 ragtop. Sorry, I don't have a pic with the nose on but believe me when I say, with the car assembled you absolutely can't see it!

You really shouldn't have too much trouble finding an NPR IC, just keep your eyes open.
i would like it in street form basically i probably wont hit the track much but i want to have something that if i want it to get up and go it will.i say the low 13 range because i have been in a few mustangs that run those times and that is the feeling i am looking for.they are all v-8 but i have looked on a few websites and have seen people running those times with the 2.3t. i just wanted to build something different.i am used to my bike that i have been riding for almost a year straight everyday and there isnt many cars on the road that can touch that thing. it runs 9.7 in the 1/4

1. Some sort of piggyback system so you can tune for bigger injectors needed for big boost on larger turbos
or
2. Spray loads of methanol and hope that it makes up for the lack of fuel and run big boost that way.
I think route 1 would be more reliable, but it also requires a bit more technical expertise. Personally, I want to take route 2. Got the meth pump and lines all plumbed up, just haven't hooked up electronics or anything yet. Plus the added octane of the meth makes it nice for big boost numbers.
TRBOPWR says under your pic that you run a mid 13 what do you have done to yours? also it does say air research on it so i guess its stock turbo.is the t3 turbo from another car and would it bolt up to the manifold or would i need a new one? but it does have a downpipe back exhaust. and as far as a piggyback would a apexi safc work or do i need something else like i said it has some superchip rapido equalizer on it now
The T3 will bolt right up no problem, it came on all SVO's and the earlier TC's. As far as piggybacks, I haven't done a whole lot of looking into those. I know that Moates J3 and Tweecer are popular ones in the community.
My car has an A237 cam, ported head, some light porting on the intake and E6, FMIC, CAI, some misc other things. The car runs those kind of times on drag radials too, I wouldn't expect much more than 13.90-14.00 on street tires. I'm running ~14* timing and 20 psi.
