Default UPR Battery Box Install Questions?

I am installing a UPR battery box in my 92' GT. I mounted it on the passenger side. It was alittle tricky to get the nust on the rod since the gas tank is beneath there. I am planning on routing the power wire through the interior to the front. For the ground I was gonna drill another hole to run the wire through and connect it to a bolt on the undercarrage. Is there anywhere certain place to hook the ground to? I thought someone has done this before. Just looking for some tips. Thanks

as for your comment in that thread, i was commenting on your switch direction. you have to push for it to kill power NHRA legal. yours is set up to "pull" to kill power the way it is in the video.

Lots of info here. I dont want to put the solinoid in the trunk, so I will run the positive off the battery to a kill switch, then to the front and connect it to where the pos. was connected off the battery before. So what else needs to be ran to make it track legal. Thanks again....

track legal = accessable kill switch from the outside of the vehicle. simple as that.

clearly visible, if its a rod, push must = kill all power and shuts off motor. if its a switch must be easilly accessable.

I get that, just alitte confused about the "kill" part. Do I need to hook up any other wires (besides the positive)to the Switch to kill the motor.I dont want to put the solinoid in the back like in that video.

Do I need to run the alternator wire to the back to positive before the switch? or any other stuff like that.

yea, for example...if you have a 3g swap on the fox, run the positive charge wire to switch so when you turn it off, you lose connection to the alt and battery to comp. it'll kill all power when you flip the switch.

other things to keep in mind, if its a hatch you have to have a sealed box and must be vented outside the vehicle.

The switch in the video is just how it is for now. Later I will remove the handle and link it to the other side. So it will be bellcranked from the passenger side with a rod sticking out through the back.

My conversion is actually two conversions. Starter wire dead until cranking. Not neccessary but the charge wire to the switch is, to be NHRA legal. 3g alt or stock, same way.
