summer of suspension
Hey Guys,
So I've read over a thread I have posted about some tail wagging and I figure while I'm working on the rear suspension I might as well try and figure out another problem I'm having. I'm in the Baltimore suburbs and the roads are pretty bad. no if, ans or buts about it. they're really bad. so I have the ford racing k-springs on my car and its dropped about 1.5". I'm looking to get that 1.5" back without going back to stock springs. can anyone suggest a set of springs that will give me the same rear squat under launch w/o the drop OR preferably tell me if adjustable shocks and struts will let me raise the car up w/o negatively affecting the launch.
to be more specific. if adjustable shock and struts would usually give me . . . -.2 off my 1/4, and me setting them all the way up only gives me -.1 or even a big ol' ZERO affect. I'm okay with that. if doing that will add time though - I'm not cool with that.
I'm having to park under a tree and getting pooped on and working on clamping my mid-pipe almost weekly because i scrap to much. so I'd to get at least my 1.5" back and have the option to go higher i possible. shooting for moon i know.
thanks everyone!

Buying taller tires will add a little heights to your current set up but tall enough to get 1.5" back would probably look ridiculous. What wheels and tires are you running now (sizes)? There are other more moderate springs out there though like the Steeda Sport Springs (1" front and 1.25" rear drop).

JCON is right, I'm extremely happy with my current springs except for how low my car is. I did just buy new wheels and tires and they did help a tad. and by a tad I mean it didn't get any lower haha. so adjustable shocks and struts are the option I'm looking at right now. I'd prefer that because I don't want to spend money (again) on springs and the ride is pretty rough around town right now. all scrapping aside.

well that kind of stinks, I don't really want to invest new new springs. maybe i'll put my stock one's one for now, sell my ford racing springs, and buy new later in the summer... pick up some shocks and struts while I'm at it.
wasn't what I was hoping for but helps out none the less
thanks again everyone!
