Default Steeda CAI with Bama tune possible? CARB legal?

Whats up AM?
Well I have a new car and need new parts! Was looking to get either your AirRaid CAI/Bama combo but then I saw Steeda has better power gains (and is made in the USA) with their CAI. My question is will a BAMA tune from you guys go/work with a Steeda CAI? Any idea of the power outputs from that combo running 91 oct-street tune? Last do you know (long shot here) if the Steeda CAI is tree hugging , **** like , CARB legal? Is AirRaid CARB legal?

Thanks,
Matthew

No it's not CARB approved.
Link to CARB EO's <--- Good source for looking up CARB approved aftermarket parts.

Matt,

Congratulations on the new car! The 11+ V6's are really cool cars. As far as the CAI systems go when paired up with a Bama tune, you'll see similar gains between the Airaid and Steeda systems. I'm confident you'll be happy with either of the two and unfortunately neither of them are Carb Approved.

You can expect to see 20+RWHP and 30+RWTQ from either of these set ups!

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Matt,

Unfortunately we don't have any CAI's that are Carb Approved for the 11+ V6's. K&N is the only Company that offers Carb Approved intake systems and they're not out yet for the 10+ Cars.

I'll put in a suggestion for this item and I'll touch base with you as soon as I have more information!

Well Dan dont be suprized if I order the AirRaid/Bama kit anyway. I can always go back to stock when I have to get smogged. I figure if I get better MPG with the aftermarket CAI thus using less gas then the **** Hippies should be happy damn it!

Matthew,

Awesome man! I always recommend the Airaid/Bama kit for people who don't have to fight with the emissions smog. You'll love that kit and swapping back to stock won't take you any longer then 45 minutes, so its a win win situation!

You'll definitely see an increase in Gas mileage along with a lot of other things! Power, Acceleration, Drive ability, Shift Points (Automatic) etc...

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance!

Better MPG only if you can keep your foot out of it
