Can my installer install a head unit without replacing the dash, 2010 stang?

He said the stereo will go where the arrow is pointing with custom fabrication if needed. I have not seen anyone saying you can do this. He quoted me 150 for the unit & 150 to install.

they make a kit just for this i wouldnt have him hacking up your dash

I would say don't even let him try that. I can see it turning out bad and costing more to fix then it would be to just get the proper dash kit.

Its working fine, I just got subs put in, and I need a better stereo to make them sound better.
