Matt's 95 Stang

Now I know this isnt audio related but it is visual related....sorta. I need help figuring out what wires do what with my tail light pigtail. Long story short is I am changing out my '11 tail lights for '13's and the pigtails are slightly different. SO I am going to need to splice them together.

'11 tail lights have 7 wires going to them:
Pin 1. Blue
2. Green w/Violet tracer
3.Red
4.White
5. Yellow w/red tracer
6. Black
7. Green w/white tracer

'13 tail lights only have 6 wires:
Pin 1.Blue
2. Green w/violet tracer
3. Red
4. Black
5. Yellow w/red tracer
6. White

As you can see they are very similar and the only difference is the 7 Pin (Green w/white tracer). I need to know what that wire does/goes too.

From what I understand it deals with the reversing light. Im still doing research.

I found the schematics. Not all the wire colors you posted are the same as in the schematics for the 2011. On the schematics it shows(it doesnt tell pin numbers)BU-OG, GY-BN, BN-VT, WH-GN, VT-WH and GN-BN. However I am pretty sure that I know what it is. There are 3 different illumination on the 2011; inner stop/turn, middle stop/turn, and outer stop/turn. The wire you are refering to goes to the outter stop/turn illumination. So either its exactly the same and there is no outter stop/turn illumination on the 13, or the 13 has a few different functions. I would have to see the schematics for the 13 to tell you for sure.

Thanks for your help. I am trying to get Ford to give me the schematics for the '13 so I can try and piece this mess together. My friend and I disassembled the '13 pigtail and plugged the individual wires into the '11 tail light body harness (matching up wire for wire what the '11 tail light pig tail showed) and all we mannaged to do was drain my battery and some how screw up my SYNC system that no longer works.
