Where to connect the ground wire for an amp in the rear.

With a wire that long you are going to want a fuse on it, even if it is a ground wire it can still have issues, that is why they say to have most ground wires less than 18" long... if I remember correctly.

I assume you're talking about the ones in the back wall? Did you sand them down to bare metal first?

The upper bolts? those are on the rear decklid and I didn't sand anything because the bolt basically screwed into the connector that i had on the end of the wire. Where I had my amps(hanging under the decklid) it wasn't a very long ground wire. The studs in the spare tire well might need some sanding to get to bare metal, but don't overdo it, try to only sand where the connector is actually touching to prevent possible rust, but I haven't seen any yet in any of my cars where I sanded.
