Leaking gas?
Everytime i go to the gas station with my 66 coupe and i go to fill it up after about the first gallon it starts to leak below the liscense plate area, have any ideas cuz with gas prices goin up and cant afford to lose any on the pavement.

lol you cant just stick the nossle in any old way and start pumping, the sender piece is poorly designed and gas will splash and run back out unless you angle the nossle right. whats works well for me is holding it upside down and kinda tilt it up towards the 2 o clock position, allows the stream of gas to flow smoothly.
everyone who owns a classic has gone through this at one time or another, its just a little nuisance you have to get used to. blv me i wish i could just stick the bastard in there and go sit back in the car and listen to music, but life's not fair.

If fuel is actually splashing back out of the filler neck, then that is the correct answer.
Otherwise, it's probably time to replace the rubber portion og the filler neck, inside the trunk. Be sure to use fuel line only, no radiator hose.
