Default 351W in a 66 mustang

I have a newly rebuild 351W that i want to put into a 66 mustang. The car came with a 289. I understand I'll need to raise the engine using "1" inch spacers at the motor mounts and longer bolts. Has anyone done this? is there a source for the spacers and bolts?

If it was me i would use adjustable motor mounts like http://www.ronmorrisperformance.com/...Code=Eng_Parts they ain't cheap but will let you get it in there perfect.

https://mustangforums.com/forum/clas...-66-coupe.html this is the thread i posted in order to put a 351w in my 66 coupe, there is alot of very useful info in there.

on the motor mounts i have heard of raised motor mounts but never used them, i just took a shot on new factory mounts (289) and they worked out perfect, the only draw back to this swap is this motor weighs at least 150 pounds more than a 302, after i did my swap it dropped the nose of my car in the weeds, and ruined my new tires in less than 4 months, although if you have aluminum heads you might be able to get by with just an alignment. i just put 620 coils in the front with bilstein shocks, but im still waiting for new tires, so i have not had a chance to try them out yet. good luck with the swap. - tang
