Default Where's the best place to get 66 Mustang parts

I just started to restore a 66 Mustang Coupe. I ordered over 5000.00 of parts from CJ POny Parts. When I got some of them delivered the parts were not what their own web site showed they were. I ordered new Heavy duty lower control Arms. They sent the ones that were the cheapest but charged me for the most expensive. I sent them pictures of what I got and what their own web site has and they said too bad that is what you get. They said you can send them back but they won't pay for the 15.00 in shipping costs. I went to NPD and picked up the heavy duty ones that were in stock. I still have quite a bit of my orders on back order from them, also and I still have more than 8000.00 of parts to buy. See you later CJ Phoney.

That hasn't been my experience with CJ. They've always been square with me. That being said, I get most of my stuff from NPD mainly because they are quasi-local and I like to go there and drip around their overstock / discontinued room for killer deals. As a bonus they always have some really kick *** rides in their show room.

As a former vendor I got to meet with the head of the Ocala branch and he gave me and my pal a private tour of the museum in the back which was overwhelmingly cool.

We always deal with Virginia Classic Mustang. We have always gotten great treatment, and have only ever had one item go on backorder.

Hard to believe an outfit like CJ's has a business model like this. Could be you got a hold of the wrong employee on the wrong day.

I would try moving up the food-chain a bit and try to talk to someone in management.

FWIW - I've used NPD over the years and never had the first glitch.
...and ebay too. (yes ebay)
