Default My boyfriend and I are restoring a '69 Mach one...

My dad just left for a tour of the middle east, and as a birthday present for my boyfriend, he gave him the old parts Mustang he got when he was in High School. Now we are starting to rebuild it, what a great task! His family knows nothing about Fords, let alone Mustangs. I would email my dad becasue he's a Mustang fanatic but he is incredibly busy. So I am turning to you guys because I figure you all know what you're doing. So if someone can please email me to let me know what I am getting my self into it would be GREATLY appriciated. Thank you soooo much.

To really know, I have to agree with SenorJ. We need a description and possibly pics.
The biggest thing to look and watch out for is rust! The next biggest thing is making sure the wiring is intact.
Here is some advice for what it's worth:
1)Pick up some restoration books at the local bookstore-I know WaldenBooks and Borders sell a few Mustang specific ones.
2)Buy a Ford shop manual-available at most Mustang parts vendors(it's an invaluable tool)
3)Maybe pick up a copy of Mustang Monthly magazine or Mustang&Fords magazine
4)When in doubt, ask questions.
5)Try this site as well as these others(www.vintage-mustang.com www.mustangsandmore.com)
