Default straight 6

I'm restoring a 1970 ford mustang coupe with a straight 6, I want to rebuild it. I also want more horespower out of it so maby bore it out, bigger pistions and crank. I dont know much about engines, paint and bodys more my thing. anbody got any ideas? I'm getting new exhaust, headers, and a 5 speed tranny,maby msd ignitions. But someone help me out how can i get more horses? can you make a straight 6 a strocker?

yes like said above www.fordsix.com can tell u everything u need to know about ur I6 but until u find those answers il answer a few questions u have here for performance parts go to www.classicinlines.com but no u cant stroke the I6's there isnt enough clearence between the cam and crank and if u look there is even reliefs cut in the cam so that the stock crank and cam dont hit
