hey Emperor,
I was just down the street in my local town getting some lunch and I saw an XP Falcon (almost exactly the same as your 1960 Falcon but 2 door) with those caps and trim rings...sorry I didnt have a camera. the car I saw was painted Rodent Alabaster, but with matt (or at least low gloss) black 6 or 7" rims with the chrome and these dog dishes on it. Tyres were 215/60/14. it looked a million bucks!

I found the same dog dishes at http://www.hubcaps.org/falcon.html right down the bottom. Its hard to see, but the edges have contours like the edge of the old coke bottle tops, so they are not 100% smooth like the chev ones. This guy had the peaks chrome and the troughs blacked out same as the rims. I think these ones are too pricey but at least you know they are out there for the Fords.

Have a look in Mustang, Falcon, Fairmont etc. there are some full smooth ones as well

I reckon that is a great idea...something that can still look classic but will definately be different and a little bit mean at the same time. With your vinyl top, should look great.
