no way, i love spinning the tires in the rain (that way I don't lose much rubber and get in trouble from the boss)

Get a good set of radials and it will make a world of difference.

When the bucket and the wipers were working I loved driving in the rain. Nothing like doing donuts in the parking lot. Ah the good old days!

A good set of All-Season Radials that are wider than factory tires will give you a bunch more grip. I know what you mean though. I put the factory size wheels and tires back on my 65 for awhile, and it was not nearly as safe feeling in rain as are the Mag 500's with wider tires.

My celica weighs under 2500 pounds. That thing is scary cuz it hydroplanes on anything. The mustang, well with its super spring loaded clutch its scary as well.
