Default can i start it up?




i was just thinking today...my tranny is hooked up to my engine w/ no fluid in her. i have no drive shaft. can i fire up the engine with the tranny hooked up to it?

I would add fluid to the tranny first.

ok, im not done with the tranny yet. just thought it would be a good idea to get the motor turned over since it has sat almost a year

Turn it over by hand by using a socket on the crank pulley.

I only issue with turning it over involves the chance that there is still fluid in the torque converter. If there is no fluid in it, then I would think there could be no damage. I'm just trying to imagine all the bad things that could happen.
