Type?

You mean Brand name? or Octane rating?

Neither of which will do anything. If there's a high % of ethanol in the brand of gas you get, there could be performance issues. but not to the untrained eye/ear.

Going from 89 to 91/93 Octane is no problem. you may even find a small performance upgrade.

If you mean from Leaded to Unleaded, then you're still fine. Todays gasoline has all kinds of additives. Unlike the fuel of yesteryear.

cuz i had switched the gas and now im getting this popping noise by my carb and smoke out one side of the exhaust. and when i accelarate it doesnt get speed popping gets worse. can it be that or a spark plug
