Default 1972 mustang

I have a 1972 mustang with a 302 engine. It has about 200 hp but i want to increase that amount. I dont know much about cars so my question is How can I get about 350hp with about $3000. I want to get by as cheap as possible with the most power possible.

Sounds like a worthy idea to me, but don't forget if you get up there in power you'll need to build up your tranny to handle the power, and possibly your rear, but depends on which rearend you've got.

Heads, cam, intake will put you around 300, which your rear end and tranny will handle. Any more than that and you're going to start breaking stuff so get ready to fork out waaay more than 3grand.
