Facelift, any thoughts?
Hey guys. I am looking at a fiberglass kit for my 66 coupe (I love eleanor and cannot afford a fastback right now so...). I was thinking this kit looks promising. But let me say that ishood that is on the car isNOT the hoodI want. I am looking attheeleanor remake from another site pictured here as well(it has the full understructure for support).
BestI can figure thewholething will run me about $3300.00 (with the kit, lights, hood, install components, and so on) Anyone wiser and more experienced than I have any input on thisventure. I am not made of moneyand cannot afford to screw this up, but that caris sweet.
Oh, for anyone curious the site for the E2 body kit is (http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCa...erglass/e2.htm)

It'll cost more. It always does. You're forgetting stuff and won't realize it until you go to install. Wire harnesses, bolts, brackets, adapters, labor, paint, etc etc...
Plan on close to $4000 plus paint. Easily.

your saying you DONT want the cowl hood on the black mustang??? the only thing i would change on that car is the sidepipes and wheels, i still like the wheels but i would rather have some 1994-2004 silver cobra r's. maybe even powder coated black. that black mustang is almost an exact replica of my dream mustang.....

id go for a shelby gt350r coupe yes shelby did race a few coupes. kits like that and the eleanor one are ugly to me i love the classic lines of the mustang the real shelbys are nice.dont forget you gotta pay someone to mount that kit and fiberglass is never a prefect fit takes time to get it right. 3900 is a little low for it installed fiberglass parts installed right is pricey also your looking to spend a grand or two for a good paint job dont trust them 300 dollar ones they peal off 6 months later.hows your drivetrain the suspeinson and interior of your car id do all that first before thinking about a body kit.what good is a pretty car that doesnt run.
