Hole in my Radiator

Hole in my Radiator
Ok, I have a 66 Mustang. While back, I started it up and let it run for a while (it hadn't been run for a while). When I turned it off, I went to close the hood. I heard this hissing sound, and then I followed it to my radiator. The hissing was coming from it and I saw green bubbling from where it would be.
I started it up again the other day, let it run for a while, and when I turned it off, there was no hissing and no bubbling. I mean..., holes in metal can't fix themselves, right?
Anyway - how bad would it be to drive the car with a tiny hole in the radiator? And how would I go about fixing it?

RE: Hole in my Radiator
if it isa copper/brass radiator, you can take it to a rad shop to be cleaned out and repaired or recored if necessary. they will pressure test it to find out where the leak is coming from.
if it was out the cap - might be time for a new one
if it was around the hose points, may just need tightening.
did your temp gauge indicate the car was running warm to hot???
it wont hurt to run for a while with a small hole as long as you top up fluids regularly. but sooner or later it will cause problems! better to fix sooner.
good luck
